Superior details for an exceptional result
If you're seeking exotic elegance with exceptional endurance, our hand-selected Tigerwood decking board is a natural choice. Also known as Goncalo Alves, Brazilian Koa, and Muiracatiara, Tigerwood combines extreme durability with unique aesthetics. Blending a wide range of hues, it lends visual interest and complements most any décor. Tigerwood gets its name from the unique and majestic black striping that naturally occurs in many boards.
Features of Tigerwood Decking:
- Light golden brown to reddish brown tones, accented by streaks of black and brown
- Appealing narrow board appearance is reminiscent of Northeast hardwoods
- Can be combined with 1 x 6 planks for a wider appearance
- Highly resistant to rot, decay, termites, and wear and tear
At Everlasting Hardwoods, we personally travel to Brazil to ensure that our suppliers legally harvest all of our Tigerwood decking wood from responsibly managed forests that produce renewable resources. We also buy only kiln-dried Tigerwood, as it is more stable than air-dried lumber. This is particularly important when working with planks that are narrow in thickness, which are prone to twisting if air-dried.
